The clothing, blankets, shoes, bandages and other medical equipment were received by Mayor Yankuba Colley, who is also the ruling party’s Organizing Secretary.
Colley thanked the donors for their assistance and said the donations will be sent to Serrekunda General Hospital.
The Bureau President in France, Malaim Beyai said that it is part of their civic duty to contribute to the nation’s development.
Earlier this month, the Jarra Association in the UK also donated medical items and other medications to health centers in their community.
The country’s President Yahya Jammeh awarded at least two dozen Gambians living abroad for their contribution and support to the sustainability of his twenty two year rule, including some of his party supporters in France.
