Barrow taps UDP president as special adviser

The State House Press Secretary Amie Bojang Sisohore announced the names of new senior members of the Executive Office of the President on investment, religious and traditional affairs.

President Adama Barrow has tapped UDP President Dembo ‘By Force’ Bojang as Special Advisor on Religious and Traditional Affairs and Musa Drammeh as Special Adviser on Investment.

Bojang and Drammeh ‘are high qualified political leaders’ who worked on Barrow’s campaign and historic election victory.

It is the first time Gambians are seeing an unusual arrangement between politicians from eight groups that formed the coalition that put Barrow in power, and the first to have State House Special Advisers named.

The advisers, including Halifa Sallah from the PDOIS, may have differing views but it is hoped that have them in the State House will continue the effective leadership team they formed during the campaign, working as equal partners to transform the government, making it much more efficient, effective and productive.
