How humble can a president be? Of course Gambian made no mistake is voting for President Adama Barrow if they were looking for everything that Jammeh was not.

President Barrow was given a gender friendly award at his first meeting with African leaders and he happily took it and awarded it to his Minister of Trade, Dr. Isatou Touray.

Touray spent more than three decades as a women’s rights activist in The Gambia, most notably fighting against female genital mutilation.

Barrow receiving the honorable award did not make headlines, but if it was his predecessor, Yahya Jammeh, it would have been the front page cover of the Daily Observer.

Jammeh loved awards so much he fakes quite a lot of them, including one purportedly from the former U.S. President Barack Obama.

But Barrow is a quite leader full of humility. He is gigantic but shy and very respectful. His humility made Gambians to fall in love with his personality and swinging votes to win him the elections.
